Ranging from the underground artists to the established ones, the Indian hip hop musicculture is mushrooming in every capacity to gravitate hip hop lovers towards the genre. As per reports, MTV is launching a music reality show for rappers titled MTV Hustle that will aim to hunt for India’s finest hip hop star.
Rappers Raftaar and Raja Kumari along with electronic music producer Nucleya will wear the judge’s hat for the forthcoming show. The contestants will undergo training under the mentorship of the judges to face the challenging routines to emerge as the winner.
"Rap has enabled artistes to push boundaries in music and express themselves to the best of their creative finesse," Nucleya said in a statement. "I am delighted to be a part of a concept like MTV Hustle that sets the stage for undiscovered talents to excel in the genre. This is one reality show that India truly needs," he continued.
Adding further, he said, "It's also my debut on national television which heightens the excitement further. I hope to be of value to the contestants as a mentor and musician and inspire them to perform better.”
The music track of the show has been produced by Raftaar. The show will go on air in August.
