Bollywood actor-director Sunny Deol, who along with his son Karan Deol, on Sunday flagged off an all Women's Bike Rally here, stressed on the importance of participation over winning in a race. The gathering, at the rally organised by Navbharat Times, included courageous women of the Border Security Force (BSF), police forces and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Sunny spoke about encouraging women to shatter stereotypes and forge ahead bravely. "We are because of them," he said.
Karan, who will soon make his acting debut with "Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas", added: "I am because of my mother and I would like to tell all of you gathered here that it is not about winning the race always, participation is equally important." The women came on stage and took selfies with the father-son duo who left soon after flagging off the rally.
Karan Deol's debut film has already created quite a buzz among the audience. The first look posters of the film have made it to the internet, and we must say they look interesting all the way. “An adventurous love story filled with magical moments. Get ready for a story which will be forever etched in your heart… #PalPalKePaas in cinemas on 19th July”, writes Sunny Deol introducing Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas lead stars Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba.
Talking about his son's Bollywood debut, Sunny Deol in an earlier interview said, "When I came in the industry was I mentally prepared. I am sure he is coming in his own way the way I came in. Rest is up to him how he portrays himself, the subjects he chooses, how he does the job and that is all up to him. As a father, I am always there with him. But I can't go and work for him or select things for him. It is up to us what we become as individuals".
"Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas" borrows its title from one of the popular song from Dharemdra's film "Blackmail". It is slated to release on July 19.
