Jaybird Tarah Review: Good Versatile Sports Headphones Under $100

Jaybird Tarah

The Jaybird Tarah are great wireless sports headphones, versatile enough for everyday casual use. Their compact in-ear design makes them portable enough to always have them around in your pockets and they have a stable fit suitable for most exercises and workout routines. They have a similar design and sound signature as the rest of the Jaybird X models and also come with the same great companion app that lets customize their sound profile to your liking. The Tarah are also fairly comfortable headphones, but with this model (and the X4), Jaybird decided to merge the tips and stability fins into one unit, called eargels, which doesn’t give you as many fit options as some of the older generations of the series. They also come with a proprietary charging cradle that could be a deal breaker for some, but on the upside, they barely leak, block enough noise for most commutes, and are IPX7 rated headphones with a good build quality and performance for their price.
Pros
+Stable and portable design for sports
+Decent and customizable sound
+Decent isolation and low leakage

Cons
-High latency
-Cumbersome charging cradle
